Kingdom Centre Tower is located in the center of the city of Riyadh, on a land plot bought by Prince Alwaleed bin Talal in 1990, it is one of the main and most famous landmarks in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Its construction was completed in 2002, on a plot of 94 230 square meters with a total built up area of 300,000 square meters.
The tower is 300 meters high, and contains 99 floors, you will find King Abdullah Mosque in it, the second highest mosque in the world, the mosque is 183 meters above sea level in the 77-floor of the Kingdom Tower.
The tower contains a sophisticated shopping center, ballroom in addition to offices and luxurious residential appartments. Besides that, Kingdom Tower contains the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh and a number of international restaurants. The tower has a remarkable view and a 56 m skybridge atop the skyscraper, it can bee seen from the farthest point in the city.
Kingdom Centre includes Saudi commercial market, occupying three floors, which is considered the most luxurious shopping mall in Riyadh, it contains shops of the best brands in the world, the third floor is allocated only for women to ensure privacy. The center includes 190 varied galleries most of them of famous international brands, it also contains children entertainment area, the senior strategist tenants include Debenhams and Saks Fifth Avenue. The center also includes a tower of offices of 300 meters high, it was the tallest building in the middle east when it was constructed. It also contains more than 65,000 square meters of leasable space, which is distributed among 30 floors, four of them are for services.
The tower contains residential units each of eight apartments with a total area of 8,243 square meters, it also includes the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh that features 197 rooms and 52 suites, four restaurants, a business center and an outdoor pool in addition to fitness facilities and mineral water spa. The daily operations of the center are managed by the Four Seasons.
The center includes four international restaurants such as Spazio which is known for it’s Italian and Asian dishes, Boom Detere, Aladdin restaurant, and the Iranian Cuisine house in addition to Hagen Dazs restaurant, KFC, McDonald's, kudu, and many other restaurants.
Kingdom Center is fully owned by the Commercial Center Company, which has 49 per cent of the shares, the initial investment was around 431 million riyals. Total net value of its assets on December 31, 2006 was 966.7 million riyals.
