Ministry of Foreign Affairs located in King Fahd Road, Al Hussam, Dammam. In 1926, King Abdulaziz established General Directory for the Foreign Affairs. Four years later, a royal decree was issued to change its name to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in addition to the appointment of his Royal Highness Prince Faisal Bin Abdulaziz as a Minister of Foreign Affairs. It was the first ministry that was announced in the government. The diplomatic relations of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expanded during the tenure of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Fahd bin Abdul Aziz. This was reflected in the increase in the number of Saudi Embassies and Missions abroad. At the same time, the number of foreign missions and embassies increased in the Kingdom. The total number of embassies reached 77 with 13 Consulates, 3 resident delegations, and commercial offices.
